Social networking apps continue to be a hub of activity on iOS devices in the UK. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here's how the top apps in this category fared in the second quarter of 2024.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat showed a steady revenue trend with figures mostly hovering around the $160K-$180K range per week. Downloads fluctuated slightly between 4K and 5K, while weekly active users stayed close to 200K, peaking at 201K in mid-May.

For Yubo : Make new friends, revenues saw an upward trend, ending June with $106K, a notable increase from the beginning of April's $95K. Downloads experienced a dip in April, later recovering to around 9K by the end of June. Weekly active users ranged from 135K to 160K, showing a rebound in user engagement as the quarter progressed.

Azar - Video Chat had its revenue peak in mid-June at $100K, with other weeks averaging around $90K. The app's downloads showed a peak of 7K in early April, with a general upward trend in weekly active users, finishing at around 48K.

Life360: Find Friends & Family maintained a stable revenue with a significant jump to $108K in the last week of June. The app saw a sharp increase in downloads in June, reaching over 45K. Weekly active users saw a steady climb, ending with 1.5M in the final week of June, marking the highest user engagement among the apps reviewed.

Lastly, Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced a slight dip in revenue in mid-April, but ended the quarter strongly with $88K. Downloads showed a decrease from 33K to around 26K over the quarter, while weekly active users remained robust, averaging around 2.2M throughout the period.
